Natick’s Destination Imagination teams presented their solutions at the Region 8 tournament this past Saturday. The mixed-grade team made up of Zachary and Kate Alexander, Adhvika Arunkumar, Liam Beauregard and Julia and Sophie Van Rhijn placed second in their challenge/level. The 7th grade team, in their second year participating, placed first in their challenge/level and will be moving on to the state tournament at WPI on March 28th. In addition, they also received a Renaissance award for their amazing props, scenery and costumes. The 7th grade team members include: Ellen Kearnan, Marina Lyon, Max Tuck, Mackenzie Burgoyne, Brooke Dziadul, and Shayna Deltano.
Kennedy MS’s Destination Imagination Teams Take First Place!
Destination Imagination (DI) is an international creative problem-solving program that challenges students to work with a team to think outside the box in order to solve one of six different challenges focused on technical/engineering, science, theatre, improv, structure or service learning. Teams work from October through March and present their solution at a regional showcase competition in early spring. Destination Imagination builds the skills students need to be competitive and successful in today’s workforce; all while having fun! DI – from imagination to innovation!
