Screen Shot 2015-11-15 at 3.46.57 PMInformation for our upcoming full-day of professional learning, November 30th, at Natick High School with one full day session on Collaborative Problem Solving held at the Wilson School location.  This day, formerly known as our “Technology Day,” has now been transformed into the Natick Innovation & Learning Summit.  The day’s schedule is here:  https://nils2015.sched.org/
This year, we are simultaneously hosting a newly created regional Wellness Summit led by our own PE/Wellness Staff from Kennedy Middle School, the Collaborative Problem Solving training through Mass General Hospital’s ThinkKids Program, and a robust set of full day fine and performing arts professional development in music and art, offered in concert with our TEC Collaborative partners.  Finally, we’ll offer full day program through EdTech Teacher and for guidance and nursing staff around supporting LGBTQ students in the school setting.
Because staff skills continue to deepen relative to technology integration and effective use of technology to enhance pedagogy, we are able to offer content/subject area professional development coupled with technology products and training for enhancing pedagogy.  Our sessions are not just about learning software or cloud-based products–Natick staffers are pushing their ability to deepen and enhance learning using digital tools and pedagogical techniques best-suited to technology.
Of particular interest this year is how our teacher leadership and expertise is showcased.  Natick Education Foundation has generously funded a Master Teacher Fellowship program and the NEF Fellows are out in full force on this day teaching their peers.  Check out who the master teachers are by clicking HERE.
It’s one of the most exciting days of the year for education professionals and we are excited that educators from surrounding towns in our collaborative will be joining us for many parts of the program and educators from across the state will be at Wilson for the Collaborative Problem Solving session.  Natick’s reputation for providing high-quality professional development is out and we wanted you to know what we are up to on this day!
