In case you missed it, on Thursday, March 31st, Natick Schools held the 4th Annual Natick Art Extravaganza at Natick High School (NHS)!
The Art Extravaganza is a community event where the work and performances (of student artists on all grades levels) is showcased during an evening event. A key element of the Natick Arts Extravaganza to illustrate the importance of arts programming in our schools by showcasing and celebrating our student artists.
The night began with an opening reception and performance by the NHS Dance Team. There will be a number of performances and presentations throughout the evening with event activities distributed across the school library, auditorium and gym.
The main entrance lobby of Natick High School doubled as an art gallery — welcoming guests into the building — setting the stage for a night of excitement for Natick student artists, their families and event guests.
Students were energized at the opportunity to showcase their talents and what they’ve learned, while celebrating their work. The evening consisted of various performances from the NHS Jazz Band, Choirs and Speech Team, Kennedy Middle School Band and Theater, and Wilson Middle School Percussion Ensemble to name a few. It was night full of exceptional displays of talent.
A feature presentation for the night was the combined choir with students from Bennett-Hemenway and Lilja Elementary Schools, Kennedy Middle School and Natick High School. It was an incredible performance to see — and hear.
If you weren’t able to attend the Art Extravaganza this year, you can view highlights on the event slideshow. And we hope you’re able to attend next year!
Please note, artwork located in the Natick High School library will continue to be on display until late April.
