We’re thrilled to announce that Wilson Middle School won $450 in grant funding to support the purchase of a courtyard chess set!

As stated by NEF, “This proposal was written and submitted by a student and supported by the school principal. The grant will support the construction of a large-scale outdoor chess board, as well as the chess pieces, to be installed in the Wilson Middle School courtyard. The set will be used by students as an alternative outdoor activity during lunch, after school, and at other free times. Teachers and students in the ASAP program will also have access to outdoor chess.”

Kudos to this student and congrats to Wilson School!
