Last month, students in our Advanced TV Broadcasting (taught by Lynne Tartaglia-Ricciotti) had the opportunity to visit the Channel 5 studio.
A group of 10 students was able to observe a live studio production of the 12 o’clock news, then tour the news and control room. They also had a Q&A with the anchors and producers.
This experience will help them in their course with Mrs. Tartaglia-Ricciotti as they learn to shape their own broadcasting work in class and develop a richer understanding of the work production teams do in live video productions, as well as previously taped and edited ones.
Last school year, Mrs. Tartaglia-Ricciotti was able to provide her students with the opportunity to interview famed Boston anchor, and Natick alum, Susan Wornick for her class.
