Cornell BirdSleuth Investigator 2018 recently published their magazine and we’re thrilled to announce that it features artwork by Lilja students!
The mission of the Cornell Lab is to create innovative K-12 resources that build science skills while inspiring young people to connect to local habitats, explore biodiversity, and engage in citizen-science projects. They think that citizen science is an ideal way to engage kids in the kinds of authentic experiences required by the Next Generation Science Standards, and we want to help teachers develop the generation of scientific thinkers!
While many people spend years hoping to have their work published, these students will be able to say they became published artists in elementary school! Check out the magazine pages below to see the great artwork by our students!
*Note: There was a misprint on the Morning Dove caption. Aiden was actually in 2nd-grade and this captions should be below the image as well.
