Brown School Mural Adds Finishing Touch to the Learning Commons!

Video Documenting the Creation and Work Done to Make the Brown School Mural.
Assistant Superintendent for Teaching, Learning, and Innovation, Kirk Downing, adds a few paint strokes to the Brown School mural.

Brown School art teacher, Michelle Parven, shared a video documenting the creation of the beautiful new mural in the Brown School learning commons. This mural was conceived by our students and created by Bren Batalan (@smileproject), a Boston based artist on a mission to spread kindness and share smiles through art and serendipity. In addition, many thanks go out to our PTO, parent organizer Caroline Egnaczek.

Former Brown principal and current Assistant Superintendent for Teaching, Learning, and Innovation, Kirk Downing, even stopped by to put his artistic touch on the mural. Projects like these are relationship-builders, but also serve to create a cohesive community for the students.

The Brown Learning Commons was recently redesigned and has proven to be an even more amazing space for both students and staff to learn, collaborate, and engage.
