Flashback Friday – Looking Back at METCO Advocacy Day!

Natick Public Schools is a district that participates in the METCO program, and we support our students who enroll in the district through the program. Rasheedah Clayton, Natick Schools METCO Director, took a few students to the MA State House on March 19th for METCO Advocacy Day!

The goal of METCO Advocacy Day is to give students, directors, parents, and supporters the opportunity to meet with their legislators (in Boston and in the town in which they attend school) to ask for their support in earmarking $24.2 million in the state budget that is used to support and fund METCO programming.

Natick students had the opportunity to meet with Rep. David Linsky (@RepDavidLinsky who has been (and continues to be) a METCO Legislative Champion.
